Super serious question:
Did dark ages/medieval people have windows in their houses if you were just like a regular old dude or did you just have like empty holes for windows and then big slats/latches/shutters? I assume glass was super expensive back then so like damn son aint gonna throw mad glass on my shit if it gets broken cuz it’s damned expensive lemme just throw some heavy shutters on that shit because this isn’t ancient rome.
Probably super heavy shutters or something. They needed windows for tossing their pee out of.
