I completely forgot about the onmousedown event and found that it still fires in the browser, unlike the onclick event.

any way you can just get it to force a clicked link into a new tab if a song is playing?

Yeah, I don’t see why not.

I’ll keep that in mind and put out two versions or make an unobtrusive option thing whatever. I still need to do three things:

• Stick an icon next to the song that’s causing the page lock.
• Allow it to be manually turned off by clicking said icon.
• If the song has the song’s title and artist’s name, I want to have it automatically unlock when the song is over.
