sports are scary because like what if the ball hits you in the face? that’s a really big concern of mine. getting hit in the face.

And sports equipment really only exists to make things hurt less. Anyone who’s blocked a really hard slap shot with their body during a game of hockey can attest to that.

once my sister got hit in the face with a soccer ball and her retina got itself a little detached. she had to have eye surgery and everything. it was gross.

One time I got hit in the stomach by a soccer ball and I wanted to sit out the rest of the game. Now I feel like eight year old me was a total wuss.
